THE ORIGIN

The Centro Italiano Servizi dalla Terra alla Tavola, TeTa, has been constituted in Parma in 1998 among agricolture and industry associations, organizations for the innovation, public bodies and Chambers of Commerce in order to work on the following fields:

  • Development and application of safety solutions, the respect of environmental balances and ethical principles;
  • Research of innovative solutions for the quality and the security suitables for the Italian agroindustrial chains.

TeTa is due to various requests, among those we could remember:

  • the proliferation of agroindustrial rules related to quality and food safety;
  • critical state of the "food safety" problem, which is object of a UE detailed action;
  • length and complexity of the Italian agroindustrial production;
  • the proliferation of valorisition forms of the products;
  • introduction of very incisive innovations in the production systems;
  • contrast between different links of the production chain;
  • society's growing interest in safety aspects, quality, and now also in ethical and environmental aspects of economics activity.

OBJECTS

TeTa serves as means for the promotion and management of operations oriented towards quality, innovation and security in agricultural and food productions chains.
It's aims are not to advise single companies, but to develop projects to benefit the collectivity.
The determination of the "sensitive" objectives on which the order of priority is operated, takes place through its own associates (category associations, service companies, public bodies) and in agreement with the Emilia-Romagna Region.
The sectorial experiences are primarily traced between associates and, in particular:
